VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN
For twelve years I have been travelling to numerous communities speaking about violence against women using the Kanawayhitowin Project and sharing my own traumatic story. I have been featured in a video which is a teaching tool.
These workshops and training sessions have been provided to Federal Corrections, the National Parole Board, Penitentiaries, Ontario Provincial Police, Friendship Centres, First Nations Communities, National Conferences dealing with trauma and social workers throughout the country.
Training geared to Organizational Needs
Training has been provided to various organizations throughout the years in community development and educating staff in prevention, management and providing services. with training an outline is prevented and work is completed through group work. Areas provided have included:
